..................Please read on for important info..................
• Stones average ~1cm x 1.5cm
• Stone origin: Afghanistan. Sourced in-person from the Quartzsite Gem Show. Hand-selected, extra quality stones
• Natural, un-dyed stones
• Some stones are "record keepers" with trigonal growth etching
• Silver-tone, easy-to-use bullet-back cufflinks
• Hardware is drilled in, then each is extra-securely attached with aircraft grade bonding. The reverse attachment point is then coated in resin to prevent damage when you inevitably drop them or knock them against the side of something. Here to help because gravity happens!
• Handmade. Please allow for slight variations in color, shape and size of the stones.
• Snazzy gift box included!
►ABOUT THE STONE:
Sapphires get their colors from trace elements in the mineral corundum. Classic blue sapphires contain iron and titanium. Geologically, corundum crystallizes with trigonal symmetry. Metaphysically, healers see this patterning as "record keeper crystals,” and are identified by these small triangles either etched, indented or slightly protruding from the crystal.
►ABOUT THE MAKER:
Each pair of cufflinks is unique and one of a kind, and made by hand by printmaker, metalworking artist and Cyberoptix founder, Bethany Shorb. I work between my home base in Detroit, MI and a mobile RV studio Arizona, where I source all our stone, crystal, shell and fossil there and at the Tucson and Quartzsite AZ gem shows. All are intuitively sourced in person, from only the most reputable individual suppliers.
►ABOUT THE CRAFTSMANSHIP:
NEW! I use traditional, time-honored lapidary techniques to drill into the stones in order to sink the cufflink hardware deep into the stone's surface, so your cufflinks will not come apart. This time-consuming process is done in addition to the jeweler's cement and resin layers that attach the stones to the metal cufflink hardware. Most crafters skip this most important drilling (and resin) step.
